DescriptionCharles Parry furthered his medical studies in Göttingen between 1798 and 1801. Lecture notes survive in two interleaved Blumenbach publications. The featured description of an oculus artificialis, for demonstrating the effects of sight defects, is bound with "Instiutiones physiologicae" (1798). "Whoever left the auditorium of Blumenbach without feeling love and admiration?" asked Parry. (From the Parry Collection, the gift of Bath Corporation).
