DescriptionA rare copy of a Hebrew family Bible that the Inquisition did not burn. It was written and illuminated in the Iberian Peninsula and decorated with micrographic panels of Arabic inspiration, which was fashionable at the time. Also known as Abravanel's Bible from its possible commissioner Isaac Abravanel (1437-1508), it was acquired in 1857.
