DescriptionA dozen original photographs by Roger Fenton, a pioneer of photography and a founding member of the Royal Photographic Society. The collection of photos includes; pictures of the newly built Balmoral Castle, group portraits of kilted royal huntsmen, photos of the Braemar Gathering, the windings of the Dee, the bridge at Castleton and two Orientalising images. Five of these photos have not hitherto come to light in public collections anywhere else.
