DescriptionThe Anjou Bible is a royal manuscript from 1340 and was created at the court of Anjou in Naples. The manuscript is important for Italian art and the study of the socio-cultural life in southern Italy. It is a Latin Bible with 344 goatskin parchment folios and beautiful miniatures. The Anjou Bible recently underwent a conservation-restoration and detailed digital recordings were made of each page. It is recognized as a masterpiece by the Flemish Community.
