DescriptionThis magnificent copy of Carl von Linné’s Hortus Cliffortianus was a gift from the author to his friend and colleague Johannes Browallius in Turku. Browallius was Professor of Physics and later on Professor of Theology at the Royal Academy of Turku. This copy is an excellent example of connections between scientists in Europe in the 18th century.
