DescriptionThe collections of Natural Science at the University of Poitiers have been supporting teaching and research activities for almost 200 years, since the creation of the Faculty of Sciences in 1854. They gather different disciplines: Chemistry, Botany (including herbariums dating from the French Revolution), Geology, Prehistory, Palaeontology, Physics and Zoology (including the historical collection of naturalized birds of CL Bonaparte). More than 250,000 specimens and objects that still constitute a real living collection.
