DescriptionThe old Funds of the University of Poitiers retains about 40,000 old books (printed before 1820), a hundred manuscripts and four archives. Among the 2,000 books of the 16th century is a 1552 edition of the Geography of Ptolemy (1st-2nd centuries AD), published by the humanist Sebastian Münster.
